Would I be far wrong with

200BHP gives 140 - 145

250BHP gives 145 - 150

300BHP gives 155 - 165

350BHP gives 165 - 170

400BHP gives 170 - 175

450BHP gives 175 - 180

600BHP+ to exceed 200

All the DIN kind at the flywheel not the thinner USA kind!

Also assumes similar drag, right gearing, unlimited ecu etc etc

Just trying to show the diminishing returns due to drag increasing by (is it) the square of the speed.

All academic m'lud on private runways pub bore stuff etc!

Also assumes a true reading speedo which is unlikely

Std 1/4 miles also shows interesting correlation with BHP - it takes more and more to win less and less!

Options quotes 450 wheel bhp is good for 183 or so MPH

Surely though Warren, it all depends how fat the driver is? :D:D

It also depends on where in the rev range that power is, you really need the peak power to be be at the revs that the gearing allows the car to travel at whatever speed, if it peaks too soon, you'll never get over it and hence go no faster, if too late, it'll possibly not have the power to get there. If you see what I mean.

i know someone whos Z is about 380 BHP and they have hit 170 in it so i dont think u can always go by them

First of im going by what a manual zed has achieved with that power.

they have tested a car with that power and it achieved that figure.

13mph at that speed would probably need around 70 bhp., and then of course do you know for sure it was 170, was it legit, with gps ect?
