Sounds like your clutch is gone bud if you were doing doughnuts. Any funky burning smell coming from cabin or engine bay?

If car is running and wont go into gear could be your clutch cable or clutch itself. When car is off it will go into gear with or without pressing the clutch. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can shine their light on this mater. Hope this helps.

Just an idea. Turn it off, start the car in gear, drive along with 10% throttle, dip the clutch, if the revs react it means your clutch is damaged. If they don't react it means the clutch may be fine but linkage gone. If it won't go into gewr or sounds awful your gearbox may be knackered.

Get an assistant to depress the clutch pedal while you watch the slave, the fork should go back and forth. I suspect your 20+ year old clutch didn't appreciate your abuse and has faked that's the most likely, my mates bmw did thus last summer. When I removed his gearbox it was like a hand grenade had gone off, bits of shrapnel and ball bearing everywhere. The thrust bearing had collapsed and taken 8 fingers with it.
