Hi guys I'm getting really bad torque steer in 1/2nd gear alot worse in 2nd (pulls hard to the right) 3rd 4th 5th pulls dead straight any ideas?

As said above, torque steer is normally a FWD car trait. but the Z has rear wheel steering, so I would be looking at the rear suspension components in particular the HICAS parts, the steering arms and outer HICAS bushes as if some thing here is worn its going to allow the wheels to turn slightly probably more under heavy acceleration.

Jack the rear up under the diff and have a good waggle of the wheels...

Cheers guys I'll have a good look didn't think you could get torque steer in a rwd (my first one so learning as I go along) just what the mechanic said when I took him out in it to show him won't be using him again lol it don't have hicas I believe as its got a n/a rear end on it would getting this locking c collars on the bushes be worth it as a tempory fix if it is the bushes ?

The locking collars are only to lock the sub-frame tight to the car to effectively delete the sub-frame bushes, not sure if they were knackered that you'd get that torque steer.

Normally torque steer is FWD only, if your car has a NA rear then you have no rear steer. Strange, maybe one of the rear shocks is duff.

Failing that I wonder if the diff could cause this problem if its going duff, driving one wheel really strong and not the other, but then I'd expect masses of wheel spin - probably not!

Could be shocks for sure my back end was mental and all it was were both rear shocks were totally fecked., But is also likely be bushes as remember there 20+ years old if its just 1st and second I wouldn't be worrying that much its when the back end starts to bounce like you got hydraulics you wanna worry.

my car pulled to one side for ages I tried all kinds to sort it and a few people also tried to sort it after a few months of messing about it turned out to be the front left tyre I pulled really bad. also have a look at your brakes if one is binding that will cause a pull piston could well be jammed one of my callipers did this also. look to them first

LOL! Who was the "mechanic". That's hilarious!

Bushes, shocks, tyres. Check the lower rear ball joints. My offside one was gone and it shot me off to the right in 2nd gear in the damp.

He was a local bloke my mate uses won't be going to him again lol and I can't even take it out in the damp its getting that bad I only have to tap the pedal when there's any wet stuff around and I'm pretty much sideways nearly cleaned up another car in the lane next to me as it stepped out

jack the car up and see if any are binding front and rear. drive it round for a bit just normal driving then pull over and put you hand on the wheels if one is much hotter than the rest that would indicate there is a prob with the calliper the disc is getting very hot simple test but could point out a fault
