Quick question: how rare are the OEM spats? Especially how rare are the SWB ones?

And what real difference is there between the two types...?

Featured Replies

The SWB versions very rarely come up for sale but I think a few guys have them fitted (such as Gary Wilson on his red SWB). As with most items specific to the SWB, they are rarer than the common as muck family estate model!

Difference wise, the fronts are identical, but the rears differ due to the steeper rake and length of the shorter SWB bumper.

They are getting very hard to get especially the swb sets. On the swb the fronts are the same as the lwb but the rears are shorter and wider than the lwb rears. A lot of swb Z's have the wrong lwb spats but onless you know the difference they look ok. I have pics somewhere and will put them up when I get home from work.

Ah yes of course the width too, there is more bumper on the SWB in that area as the exhausts are closer together on a SWB. TwinzDesign have developed a rather nice set of these which look v nice imo:

Quite a sizeable difference between the two types there, Gary!

The TwinZ ones look nice, but I've just been looking over on Z1 and the pre-order runs til December and they expect the delivery by April!! Seems an incredibly long time to wait to me... :(

i have the rear swb spats on mine wouldn't mind a set of front ones though to complete the set
