I remember that car from my Manta days !! iirc the kit is a Mattig Extreme kit :confused1: which in it,s self wasn,t cheap , i fitted a cheaper less brash version on mine called the Elegance kit .

and who had four big cibie lights bolted to the front.

The twin headlamp conversion with 4x 110w bulbs drained the battery faster than the alternator could charge it, dread to think what that 4x cibie pod would have done to it

I had the Elegance rear spoiler on my first 400 replica! :D

And just for Gary: I later bought a 3.0 converted 400 replica that had the obligatory 4 Super Oscars bolted on. :)

The MegaManta in question... I always preferred the Mantzel Evolution widearch kit myself:

Every now and again, I'll look on the Bay to see what mantas are available... but I know I sadly don't have the money to do one justice... superb cars!

A girlfriend of mine had a Manta GTE, it was brilliant fun.

Had an A-series as well, but never managed to get it on the road.

Would like another one of those

My first was a 1.9sr A series and a good few years later bought a basket case one to restore, bought a Rover v8 and manual box to fit in it as well , half retored it and then it just sat on my garden for many years , scrapped it when we moved house
