There likely leaking a tiny amount that has dripped in your exhaust over a long period,

Once u start the car and the exhaust gets hot enough then they start to smoke,

Which is what i think is wrong with my car, but once mine clears it doesn't do it until i leave it standing...

from cat back the exhaust is a new one. I had the oem cats of while was fitting the manual box there was no oil in the down pipes or cats just soot/carbon

What about the blue smoke he sees when driving? That's an engine ingesting oil however you look at it. And if you can see blue smoke whilst driving, there is plenty of it exiting the exhaust....

and power balance one SDC12580.jpg

just been mot place at idle is was ok but smoking to much for them to do fast idle SDC12587.jpg

just removed the near side pcv valve it rattles but if yo9u blow down it air is leaking past it so when the manifold in under pressure if the pcv is leaking then could this pressurize the crank case and force oil some were is shouldn't be ?

As I said from the very beginning, I have never seen fuel smoke look like that..... Simply because it just doesn't look like that

I've already asked before: Is it breathing heavily? Any 'puffing' out of the oil filler cap and/or dipstick tube? I guess it doesn't as there is no smoke on immediate start-up, but confirmation would be good. Compression test to do next, cylinder balance test is all well and good, but you need actual compression figures before you can rule out bore issues.

Do the PCV valves allow air to pass both ways? Remove them, block the holes (1/4 BSP IIRC), vent hoses to atmosphere. Does it still smoke?

car is not breathing heavy atall it sounds perfect as it always was. I was thinking about blocking them off I have not got bolts big enuf to do it. yes the valve I have removed blows on way loads and little bit the other way I hooked up a tube and blow back in a cup of water and it bubbled so it is leaking .am just trying to get the drivers side one off to test that but I just car get to it have removed loads of parts the brake master is in the way

For the time being, you can leave the PCV valves in place, and use some hose and simply block that with a bolt if you don't have the correct bung for the PCV threads. Just ensure that the engine can still breathe.

yes will block em up and try it . so I just have leave the crack case to just vent out

deleted the pcv valves car was still smoking ran it at fast idle was smoking then cleared up fisrt vid is pcv deleted still smoking then 2nd vid clears up will tray again tmoz see its its still clear after sitting over night

That looks promising, the second vid is completely clear. I've deleted the PCV system on all my cars (various marques) and not had an issue. Nice clean intakes are always preferable, I simply allow the crankcase pressure to vent to atmosphere as I'm not restricted by government regulations regarding emissions

It really pays to diagnose issues properly rather than ever driving a car with obvious problems :thumbup1:

Once you've checked for smoke after standing overnight, the next test will be to take it on a short run to see if there is any smoke under load (don't go giving it death just yet!). Oil in the exhaust or weeping seals isn't a major problem, but driving a car that is burning oil can be. It could be that the oil in the exhaust has burnt off and it's a coincidence, though. You can look into the plenum through the balance bar ports and see if there are pools of oil in there as well.

I opened the throttle body and looked in there with a light. I jacked up the car and I noticed some oil round the near side turbo if the pcv was leaking could this force oil out due to the crank case being under pressure ? I will run in round the block 2 moz a few time cant really do a proper run as no mot tax and car in bits.

yes it could be a coincidence maybe the pvc has been doing this for a while but due to running the often it burn the oil off. who knows

started it today got a bit of smoke but then cleared up after a min or 2 look like it needs a blood good run on the motoway to clear this oil out. maybe it will take a day or so to get rid of it once and for all
