Think ill start from the beging as when i took this old one out there was no splicing and only two wires going to the backs of the clocks

The way mine is done is I have take + and - from the back of the clocks. Those are the only 2 wires from the convertor connected to the clocks.

The speed signal wire is cut, and has bullet connectors attached. These plug into the other 2 wires form the converter.

well as you can see from the pics the blue wire eventaly from the convertor goes into the yellow wire with the thin blue line on then the yellow wire from the convertor went into the other end of the cut wire that was yellow and had the thin blue wire, the red wire and the green went to the board of the clocks as were they are now. i wired in exactly the same way as is was with the new one, so this surgest that we have two speedo convertors that dont work or its wired up wrong. from this ill asked alan previous owner who converted it and if it ever worked, before ,all the other dials work as normal but it dose affect the steering so next thing to replace would be the censor that plugs into the gearbox then, but i have been told that this was replaced. time to find out sequence of advents me thinks.
