Finally done the 4 hour journey from London up to P.P.S yesterday and met the infamous Peter. Nice to meet ChrisC, PaulG and Aki again - very friendly guys.

Anyway, I have to perfectly honest and say I'm impressed with the standard of his work after seeing the cars that were ready and the job he's done on Chris's car (gonna look the business). As some of you may know my car went to a certain bodyshop in Nottingham exactly a year ago to have a full kit and respray. After a few months (and less than 2K), there was paint flaking off and cracks in the side skirts as well as rust coming through - needless to say I wasn't impressed (and that's an understatement). No blame was accepted by the garage for the paint flaking - which I still can't understand??????????

Anyway, one thing that really hit me with Peter is the way he doesn't try to bump up the price for any extras. He gave me a price for the work that we agreed and then I wanted extra bits done like fitting a tow eye, i/c vents and replacing mastic that was used, with fibreglass. I asked him how much extra it would be and got the reply "don't worry about it, it'll only be an extra couple of hours". The other garage I used bumped up the price for every silly little extra to the point that when the car was ready it was a couple of extra hundred pounds (to be fair, I did get phone calls to tell me this) which really annoyed me cos you don't have any choice at that point.

The final thing that really impressed me was when it was time to leave to get a flight back. Peter had said he'd drop me to the airport, but got extremely held up. I said no problem, I'd happily get a cab, to which he replied no way, as he'd promised he would get me to the airport. Instead he phoned up his girlfriend/wife (at least I think she was) to come and pick me up and take me to the airport which was a half hour journey - I was reallY impressed with that!!

To anyone that's thinking about having a respray or kit fitted, I would certainly recomend PPS. As I said earlier, it took me 4 hours to get there, but if I add the multiple journies to Nottingham, it worked out a lot more. (not including wasting petol). He's very friendly and you can tell he takes pride in the work he does.

Last of all, a massive thanks to the big man himself, Iain. He's given me help and advice with bits I needed for my car and he went out of his was to meet me to show me the way to PPS. Cheers mate, it's really appreciated!!!!!!!

I will post pictures and comments when I pick my car up (in about 3 weeks) to let anyone interested know.

Cheers,

Vijay

Hi guys, thnx for all the kind words, but at the end of the day I just see it all as part of the service I am being paid to do.

If it wasn't for my customers I wouldn't have a business, and for that I must thank everyone that has, or is going to put their trust in me. After all If you can trust me with your Mrs. you can trust me with your car (or was that just you Macca).

I'm not one for causing trouble with anyone, so who ever this concerns this is my personal opinion on one vehicle which I have been given the job of putting right.

The way the spoiler was fitt...... as for the side skirrt..:( Dont even get me started on the paint  NUFF said.

Cheers PETER

Hey,anymore cheek from you,and you will be spending the rest of your spraying days in a wheelchair!

why can you not post your opinions of crap companies in the non public general chat or whatever, after all if a company wants to read about hw crap they are then they have to pay for the priviledge.

cos my initial comments were for anyone to read - I'd hate the thought of anyone else being ripped of as I have, that's why I agreed with Warren's comments on naming them.

Vijay

Yeah Yeah Macca, hey but what a wheelchair it would be..................... 20inch split rims, leather upholstery, high level push handles (chromed) and the warmest tartan blanket i can find. or can i just borrow yours grandad. Or do you just look a lot older than you are Ian???????

Some of us like to use tact as opposed to full on thermal global nuclear war! ;)

A mate of mine took his car to Franks!

It needed a cheap blowover to repair some minor paint damage, Frank offered him £5k below the market price of the car, to take it off his hands there and then.

My mate said no, he then tried to tell him that he thought his car had been written off before and was repaired. He pointed to the half inch gap between the inner and outer wing, near the bonnet hinge.

My mate went away and discovered that every Z had that:mad:

I would never take my car there!

Bloody hell Skip:( So I take it you never gave him your last Rolo then:D
