Who is a club approved expert to validate whether my engine is NA or TT in origin for legal purposes? Also would the club give backing for a member for technical information accuracy. IE will the club say they are happy to officialise the verdict?

On a similar subject if you don't mind Stephen.... Do we have someone nominated for insurance based valuations?

Doubt it as that could open the club and 'expert' up to the possibility of prosecution due to incorrect info being passed on.

Ok so how would I be able to validate my findings? I know what they mean and I know there are accurate but a court may require or it may be beneficial to have an official expert which I'm obviously not, just a keen enthusiast. Whilst I don't wish it to go that far I would be foolish not to prepare.

I don't think we do, although Zclub our sister club does....

You could ask Jimmer to provide a report?

I spose so, he is a club recognised expert, a very well respected one at that.

Photographic evidence of stamped numbers and also copys of numbers from the Nissan workshop manual as well as official tech sheets then ime sure that would start the ball rolling and fire the 1st barrage of shots at there defence....

Good idea bri, I'm sure the FSM or other official Nissan documentation must be available.

Hi Stephen, As you already know One of the first things visible internally is the difference in the TT and NA pistons.......

The main visual difference would be the Pistons as far as I know..... so confirmation from a Nissan specialist on photos of the pistons confirming they are NA ones fitted to the engine??

TT pistons dip and NA ones have hump.... All you need to show is original Nissan part numbers on your pistons and the Nissan Fische part numbers proving they are NA ones....

A picture of an NA piston vs a TT one would help too....

Do you have a copy of the original ebay advert?

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!
