I was being diplomatic. I know the reason why the first guy got rid, after it was for sale on Gumtree.

All the best with it, as long as you're happy with it, that's all that counts :thumbup1:

Hiya just needs abit of tlc, under sealing, rear exhaust section and a few bushes, probably others were put off if they had to pay a garage to do work,im doing it myself so not bothered, thanks mark

Fair do's. If that's the case then it sounds like a different car :)

glad your keeping it as a Project

but if i was you ... you need to be sorting out

MOT Reg * Not sure how it got an MOT on it in April tbh

as when it came to me by the Prev owner ... None of the electrics worked and both front brakes was seized on

and then with all the other bits below that would of been an MOT fail * in my opinion & others .. my 3 bodyshop guys refused to work on it .. but was only instructed to Price jobs that needed doing

but on what was found only asked to do the bits that was going to stop him from driving it .. as it had an MOT

*Door A pillor been cut away due to lambo hinges

*All Brake lines

*Both front and rear sills

*Main Seat Mounts

*front and rear subfames inc arms

*Exhaust blowing at 8 points ( gum gum repairs )

Rear Archs or lack of

Re-mount the rear bumper and remove the Timber and wood screws

Tail Gate

Doors

Front wings

Side Skirts

and Few other little bits

Damn! I've seen wood screws on a Z before and I did laugh.

Hope you get it all sorted!

there is pictures of the problems with the car ... and "pioneer" has all of them now and its up to him if he wants to put them up

Timber.........I've seen timber in the passenger footwell of all 4 zeds ive had !

.....it's alright for nissan to use timber.....but when I carved out my new oak sills and plywood floorpans.....the MOT man went bleedin mental!

surely your best cheapest and safest option would be to find a good straight shell and move everything thats decent over adding in new and recon bits assuming the engine gearbox etc all good.

car was motd 31/03/14 ,can everbody see that list you put on mark

Yes they can, maybe you should ask him to edit it.

What a welcome!! Good luck with the car Pioneer. Hope it all works out for you, not a bad looking car tbf so if you bought it with your eyes open then all is good.

Apoligies for the ressurection of an old thread, but here is this Zed when I had her, back in 2008 ? (ish)

I sold her to a young lad in my work to finance a Camaro. Think his username was badmonkey or some thing along those lines?

He threw a lot of cash into her, GT hinges were over 1k alone. Wheels and tyres were nearly 2.5k.

I can hold my hand up here and honestly say that when I sold it to him, she was in good condition. He really went to town with the body conversion !

He wasnt a mechanic, or involved in the motor trade. Well, he applied decals ?

I actually felt sorry for the car when he had finished ? Too much money, lack of knoweledge/taste ?

I do like the colour, kit was badly fitted. Offered advice, but he knew it all !!

Alan..............

Yeah, the gold colour is pretty stunning in the flesh.

Many thanks for the info and pics, did you have the engine work done and did you have loads of things wired up,as theres wires every where, ive got interior out at moment sorting wires and things out.The person i got it from gave me the number of who he bought it from, but he wont talk to me for some reason, many thanks Mark

So sorry Alan, I mentioned that this was previously yours. I didnt mean to give the impression that the body kit etc was your handiwork. I sold a manual conversion to "badmonkey" which was fitted at the Garage, motherwell. The bodywork was done around the same time if I recall. It then disappeared. (I think it developed an engine problem and after spending a bundle, it was one job too far, so to speak)

Did he fit a draining board to the rear? :\

No worries mate. I think he was racing a Skyline one evening just after i sold it too him and bottomed it out over a hump in the road, did all sorts of damage. He was also quite partial to cold starts and redlineing straight away !! He killed the engine rather soon after he bought it from me,

Think it was his girlfriends dad that fitted the kit, and he was a joiner ! I kid you not !

The Garage in Motherwell did the engine work. Same block I think, but new internals. He overheat it first time out ! http://the-garage.co.uk/

As for the wiring ? Cant be off any help there mate, sorry.

And I did not assist in any way with the hinges fitment, or the fitting of the body kit !! I tried to advise him, but he wasnt that sort of chap !

As for not answering the phone, he was always like that.

Alan.....

Thankyou very much for info, rest assured she will be looked after now, when ive sorted out all the bodges, wireing etc.The manual conversion that was done didnt connect up the reversing lights and the engine mount nuts are both missing, and not been under sealed for a while, and the clutch hose was just dangling proper bodgers. It really winds me up why mess if you cant do it in the first place, and if your gonna spend money then do it right, fancy wrecking the engine for no other reason than your stupid ,reving it from cold, his pockets werent that deep judging by the poor work, should have looked after it,i hate zed wreckers.

Hope u get it sorted. sounds like u know what to do, good luck.

Got a sister & cousin who live in Worksop:)

I was born in Creswell not far from u.
