Just putting out the feelers due to a recent discover, it's not a forgone conclusion just yet. Il know soon but I may be looking for a replacement long block. Anyone got a twin turbo long block available? I don't need any ancillaries, not even a fly wheel. Preferably in the southern half of the UK below say Birmingham, I'd be prepared to travel for the right block at the right price, looking for a cheap fix to get me through till I can afford a rebuild.

Got one from an Auto, was going to use as temp replacement but not bothering now. Looking at £350.

Cheers for the reply Steve your nice and local to, I'm weighing up options and trying to work out exactly what I can afford and when. Are you in a hurry to sell it? Did you see it running?

It came from a reputable garage in Gosport and the owner had taken the car in PX and used it until the MOT ran out (body was knackered).

 

I was assured it ran well with its auto box (going to scrap that as I cannot risk any issues) but haven't seen it running myself.

However engine turns freely, had a Nissan filter on it and the oil looks to have been recently changed....not exactly a guaranteed endorsement but I was happy to use it.

 

Would like to have it gone sooner rather than later and has also been mentioned to Lee. (adl) Pheonix

 

Could get the motor to you without a problem as I have a van and engine lift handy.

That's ok I have a van myself. If Lee takes it that's fair enough, I probably wouldn't have that cash till November.

If anyone hears of one up for sale or a turbo car braking for rot or done cosmetic issue please let me know. I'm not in a hurry as such, Infact if it's not available for a month or two that would be ideal.
