Apart from ferraris, astons etc, what more common cars on the road should a TT-zed be cautious of before entering into a burn up?

For startes, my zed is running 14psi and i couldnt get away from a jag XK8 and a new porsche 911.

 

any others?

that would be XKR, not XK8, if you couldnt get away.

 

i am running about 12psi, and lost about 2 car lengths up to a ton

 

but the convertible XKR is even match due to the weight.

Shouldn't worry too much about them - if the *ahem* test lasts for more than a few minutes, they'll be ringing for the AA and you'll be off into the middle distance :)

hmmmm...will have to look into these beasties then, bet they are expensive though.

My neighbours STI. He changed the exhaust for some thing bigger with a sportscat fitted. Rolling road last week showed 300bhp instead of quoted 262bhp with nearly 100bhp lost in the transmission. No other engine mods except a panel filter.

It is seriously rapid.

Stuart. Agreed ... I guess I was hinting more at possible speedo inaccuracy .. you know, different size wheels and all that (or could just have been being thick!) ... Even so, 175 seems awful fast (good effort:eek: ), and though I don't have the figures to hand, I don't think Mitsi Evo VIs are in the 155 ball park - I thought they were all about white-knuckle acceleration!!:D

yeah i couldnt belive it myself my car isnt restricted the only mods i have are FULL TRUST JAMMA WITH DECAT PIPES SYSTEM,H,K,S IDUCTION KIT,TWIN BLITZ DUMP VALVES.apart from that,thats it unless summing got done to it when it woz in japan.digital turbo timmer was reading 175 too only running on17s got the missus to vouch for me as she was sitting next to me like i said i was shitting myself it did feel fast!!!!!!!

the zeds speedo is pants. my gps says its doing 112 when the speedo reads over 120-125.

 

saw a DB7 vantage on the M1 today, with gorgous blonde bird inside as well, bonus. should think that car may well give the zed a run for its money

Have you still got stock wheels ?

 

When I had a limiter on my car (112mph) I could get to 110mph in 4th and then it would jump and no more power. But in 5th I could get to 120mph, then the jump and no more power. Very strange.

WOW that is strange ive nev heard of that happening b4 ive got some wired japenese wheels 17s on there at the moment they look nice though!!!!!

I guess we can assume that we have at least a 10% - 15%speedo error at that speed, so maybe it was only 160 or even 153 which sounds more realistic.

You would need more power to get that speed id imagine.

and if its not restricted then it wont go over 155mph?

 

you need a solid 400 on the wheels to make 170 i believe (i read it in options i think) and then went on to say 450 on the wheels to make 186mph.
