Following on from Groovers Lee Evans thread, me and the Mrs are going to go to watch a show.

Shortlist so far is as follows:

John Bishop

Al Murray

Jason Manford

I'd like to see mickey flannagen and Kevin Bridges but they're unavailable.

Anyone been to see any of those 3? How was it?

We seen John Bishop on his Rollercoaster tour.

Awesome !! Total craftsman at his art, works the audience well. He gets my vote !

Al Murray I havent seen, but listen every weekend to his show on Planet Rock. Clever man.

Kevin Bridges, very quick with the comebacks.

Go see anyone on your list, they are all good !!

Just been watching Al Murray on YouTube. I suggest his 2 of his videos to watch. One is called all murray against the Americans. And the other is all murray proves Britain has defeated every country (I think)

I've got the roller coaster tour on DVD. Brilliant isn't it.

Al Murray for me at the moment

John Bishop is just so funny...... great live and I would love to see him again.....

Last comedian I saw was Jimmy Carr and he was very good...... ripped gobby woman in audience to pieces...... loved it......

I have a list....

Sean Lock, Ross Noble, Mickey Flanagan and Russell Howard..... Hopefully sometime soon...... lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I think any real pro comedian will be a good show as they have honed their art and are tried and tested, Micky Flanagan is another fav of mine too :thumbup1:

Also worth mentioning as Lee Evans said in his tour brochure, people come to a show to see a specific comedian as they have seen them on the TV and are a known entity and have grown to like them and know what to expect.

Ive worked on a corporate function with John Bishop and Jimmy Carr and although very funny in their own right, struggle a little with a corporate audience, ie Joe public that havent specifically come to see them, whereas stick them in a paying show situation, where everyone in the audience is there specifically to see you, then you are already half way there to a great show.

By the way Jimmy Carr is the same off stage as he is on it and a nice guy, John was a miserable **** off stage lol

I can believe that Graham; I have been to 4 or 5 Jimmy Carr shows and he always hangs around afterwards to sign programs and chat to his fans. He clearly loves what he does and seems to appreciate the people who buy tickets for his shows. He's certainly one of my favourite comedians of all time!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
