I'm keeping my eye out for another zed. Although I'm not looking to purchase immediately if the right one came along I would find the funds somewhere.

preferably a manual although if the right auto came up I'd be flexible

I can go up on my price too. Not very much 3k for the right one. I know a good TT manual is worth more but hey.... For a quick sale i think 3k is more than fair. Thanks everyone. It's good to be back. Like i said if there are some mechanical problems I'd be happy to come to an agreement. you be lucky finding a good one for that price if you want no rot at all and no issues you will need spend least 5k I reckon thats why so many of us bite the bullet and do a full restoration

I'd say a rust free TT auto with some small niggles is easily available for £3k. It's just waiting for the right one. Have a look at my thread "anyone familiar with this zed" there's 2 on there within my budget

As an owner of over 12 years, you'd be hard pressed to find a better car for money than my slicktop?! Bit of engine work, but you could do the right bank on the cheap if you're handy yourself and have the most desirable model! Convert to manual when funds allow?!!

Very nice motor buddy. Unfortunately it's too much work as i, like you, do not have the space to pull the engine. Plus the Mrs would rip my gentleman's vegetables off if i spent over 3k on a car which then needed more money repairing it. I value my life too much :lol:
