Sparky type things

Anyone any idea on the cost of a replacement set of plugs for a Zed TT?....Is there any variations on heat settings for them...Which is best to go for?

I use NGK PFR6-B11 spark plugs supplied by Nissan, they are seemingly one range colder and are platinum tipped to resist detonation. They work ok for me and mine. :)

You can also use NGK BCPR7ES if you're after something a little easier on the pocket! they work perfectly.

Ok anyone any ideas on prices from nissan for a set of plugs?

I just got a quote from a factor stating £9 each for plat tipped ones...is this a good price?

Chris

james Are those Platinum tips?

If not they should be, if not platinum then iridium, common core are not suitable for a Zed.

Tim

Think they might be iridium, not sure. Got them from SE (even though I hate them, see new post in "General chat") they said they will last a good 6k miles, at the time I was gonna sell the Z so got them, but must admit - have been fine. Oh, am keeping the 300 now aswell. I couldn't do it.

If they're Iridium, I would expect to pay between £9 and £12 each.

Platinum plugs are good for 60,000 miles, and Iridium apparently even higher.

IMHO, I wouldn't skimp on such a basic component, plug meltdown is not funny!

Tim

I meant they are good for half the milage of platinum plugs, so 30k miles, my mistake.

I won't put them back in when I replace them, now that I'm keeping it! .......it? the Z!!!!!!!!

Yeah I agree I dont skimp on service items....'spesh the plugs....Just aint worth it for the cost.

Chris

seems cheaper than what your paying in england..

cheers mate....
