Central locking

Hiya.

 

When I got my zed it already came with a aftermarket alarm system and imobiliser. An evo 4 falcon. Since having the car the drivers door will lock but I can't unlock. I hear it make the noise but it doesn't unlock. Ive removed the door card and checked the Handel and that works fine. The key however. Doesn't do anything. Having to keep opening from passenger side and reaching over which is getting annoying now. I have found this in the picture but can't see where it goes too. The central locking push pump thing works fine...... u4arygyq.jpg

    I can hardly see anything in there ! Rear of the actual lock that's on the side of the door? Is this the cause of my door nit unlocking? Do u have any pics mate? Also where do I get that plastic bit from? Mine is snapped as well

    Don't buy plastic and buy the way it goes on the barrel.

     

    I got a pair made from aluminium from this seller on ebay, it appears he sold them all but must be worth a message to him.

    i dont have any pics unfortunately.

    what you need to do is remove the door handle which is 2 10mm bolts (one is hidden by a little round plastic cover) then reve the clip that is supposed to hold the plastic to the lock.

    apparently you can get ones that fit from micra's and primera's of the same era (and apparently they are made of metal)

    as above i bought metal ones from ebay ages ago and thankfully i still had them.

    Thanks chaps. Got hold of the guy exchanged numbers and turns out he has some left so I ordered a pair :). Very nice chap. While I'm here my windows still rattle while half way down is this to do with that bolt thats on the outside of the window?
