Anyone going this year?.. The Friday 2012 was not that good due to heavy rain showers. I Still wear my 2002 baseball cap for work now.

I was there today, not at the air show but in Farnborough, very close by saw the Vulcan and a handful of other stuff, old school bombers choppers a fighter jet, fair bit. The bournemouth airs how fly path is above my house so il get that next month.

Cool Steve...love the old piston engined stuff but my real passion is fighter jets,new and old.One day ime going to let my bank pay for the Russian MIG experience but they dont know yet:whistling:

The Vulcan was big news around this way before it flew off to Farnborough, as it was the last time it will fly out of Waddington which was ifs home for many years and where it was sent as a new plane in 1960. We're getting a new runway from September this year so the airshow is cancelled next year, and the vulcans days are numbered now!

I don't doubt that's an expensive trip lol! I'm not really into planes but when you see some these angels of death it's really quite awe inspiring, literally death on wings, power. That sort if grandure and technological as well as history stuff does excite me.

We've had the Vulcan at bmth before I think, the euro fighter is also quite something.
