I bought a set of front track rods and ends from the zcentre last week.

I went to fit them this morning and they don't have enough scope on them to the the wheel to line up as before. Even at the shortest they'll go. The front of the tyre points inwards.

 

I'm thinking of taking the female threaded part of the rod end into work and making it shorter on the lathe or removing some of the threads from the track rod.

 

Anyone ever had this issue and how did you fix it?

I would give Luke a ring and see what he says. Certainly doesn't sound right..

Check with Z Centre that they sent you the right parts.

I've had it before (from a different seller) when they have sent S14 parts instead of Z33 parts.

Sounds like you have hicas arms instead of front steering arms.

Bought the new driftworks ones myself as there slightly angled giving a better steering angle for larger wheels.
