My pads and discs are in need of a change so it seems like the time to upgrade the brakes. I only drive the car a few thousand miles a year, don't do track days and so I can't quite reconcile spending £1500+ for a big brake kit despite them looking nice and no doubt a significant improvement. However, looking at buying used Brembo's off a 350Z pus new discs etc doesn't seem to come out much cheaper for second hand stuff. Suggestions please...

It depends on how much you want to spend and how big you want to go.

I may be selling my 310mm R34 Gtt brakes, the only mod needed is to open up your hub carrier holes to 14mm.

I have in mind up to £600 to swap the fronts over to include discs. Are the GTT callipers much bigger than stock ZX ones?

Stock 300zx are 280mm, and mostly are iron calipers.

These are alloy and 310mm.

Would be looking for £250 posted

600 quid will get you used R33 GTR which are 324mm, these go for around 400 quid.

Thanks, hadn't thought about skyline options. Sounds like that could be the way to go for some sensible priced improvement. I shall have a search. Assume the prices you post are for calipers only.

In the middle of doing an evo 8 front swap with the pads discs calipers and brackets its working out at 400 euro i do a lot of track driving tho

Is there much work to do around fitting the Evo stuff?

From what iv read up the fronts just need a relocation bracket they can be made up or u can buy them online

i found a place online that does the bracket in usa for 100 dollars madracing i thinks the name iam on the phone so cant send link

The rears wont fit as far as i know but i read somewhere that 05 sti rear brembos will i have to do more research on it tho
