temp sensor

If your temp sensor is dogdey enough to temp make your car run lumpy for a miute whilst just warming up. Then would this be enough to put your car into safety mode . And if yes then when would safety go of ? When you next turned your car off for a while. And if you car went into safety mode how would you know apart from a slower car? Just woundered.

Yes but i was also askin if the safety whent on for a reason when would it go off again or reset. Ie if you had a intermitant fault once the fault had cleared would the safety come of or do you have to reset or will it do that after a twenty min shut diwn. Or does the battery need diconecting .or? Cheers

As far as I'm aware once you've gone into safety boost you will stay there, unless you reset the ecu. Are you getting 7psi, that's the main indication of safety boost.

wont the car stay in safety mode until the car is warm ? if the ecu isn't reading the temp sensor if its faulty the ecu mite think the car is still cold so stay in safety mode

I had safty boost issue the needle on the dash does not to rite across like it did in non safety boost. the stock gauge its not very good but gives you a idea. this is why a after market one is a good idea to keep a eye on whats going on

When started you are in safe mode until the car receives the right signal from the temp sensor. So if it's not working ti give that signal then you will stay there or that is my understanding of it. Mine went bad on the loom side and didn't give me a code 13.

I couldn't say, seems to be the same one used in a multitude of nissans, might be worth hoiking one out from the breakers yard and comparing it.
