I might have the opportunity to obtain myself a 300zx over the next week, I understand you need a de-registration certificate from when it left japan only problem is i don't believe the guy selling has one, I've seen sites offering duplicate certificates for around £150 but then this also could be a scam, what else would I need ?

You cannot register an import without the De registration docs. Personally if the seller doesn't have them then that's why he is selling.

It's impossible to get duplicate unless you know the original seller in Japan, then you might stand a chance of getting another but not a guarantee.

I would like to see the website where you can get duplicate from, can you link?

Plus what you need for registering is

De registration docs

MOT

Monies for road tax

insurance on chassis number

Registration fee

probably watching that one on ebay without the docs.

Unless your gonna break for parts or use as a track car your wasting your time

you alsoneed customs from for proof of payments no cert ificate no register

Actually that's not required, the car would not have been released without payment of VAT and duty.

Yeah but I don't think I'm gonna bother now , registering the car would be a pain in the arse and almost impossible so you've got the option off a track car or breaking it and to be honest at £1500 breaking parts would take forever and your more likely to lose money, I haven't decided yet if I get it, it will be for track use only knowing my luck the turbos will go a week later haha

If this had not been on UK roads, it will be pretty much rust free throughout. Worth saving or using to reshell a uk registered rotter

Looks very tatty for something to take a punt on, could get similar without the head ache
