Rear fog light

Hi Guys!

I need some specific advice, I have run a red single 5 amp cable from the front fog light switch to the off side reverse light.

On removing the pod that holds the fog light switch there are 6-8 smaller wires in this plug!

One thread says use 17 & 18? (That's two wires & I only have one!)

Is 17 & 18 +tive & -tive? Therefore do I need to wire an earth from 17 or 18?

What do I do?

At the rear light there are two wires, Green & Black.

I'm I right in that my Red wire will replace the Green (live) & leave the Black (earth) ?

Do I need to get an inline fuse?

Sorry it's long winded for what some theads on this matter makes it so easy!

    I don't know about the 17, 18 bit but expect one will be ground, so if you ground the bulb at the rear with the black you will not need to connect to both at the pod.

     

    Connect a simple spaded blade fuse in line as it'll be no bother to do so.
