Hi guys my import tt manual has de-cats, apexi intake, chipped, racing bottom end, funcy big exhausts. Greedy profac boost controller, Clutch started slipping 60 miles ago. Was gonna just replace it with a new oem one how good are they for horsepower wise? With the above modifcations I must assume it has around 320hp??? Car was bought like this, all I have done is but a boost gauge in Haven't dynoed yet as she still runs in safe boost 6.3psi

The fact it was slipping would also be down to age, expect it was 20 years old.

 

I'd get an aftermarket uprated one without a doubt, it doesn't answer your question but I would of expected a new standard OEM clutch to handle more than 320.

I can't give you a number either, I know a member got about 370hp out if his and it started slipping, I believe that was a newish clutch. Best bet is to buy an aftermarket one as said, mines a stage 2 one rated for 500hp and 500ftlb so plenty if ceiling for upgrades.

Stock New clutch you be looking around 380>390ish Depending on the car/brand/driver :)
