Hi.

Time to sell up.

Spent over 10k on my car in the last 2 years.

Brand new engine, all parts also.

Interior re-newed ect.

A lot of you have seen my progress and knock backs and now with a knock on a brand new bottom end, and lots of work... it's really taken the piss.

Just had enough of it eating money.

It's just been run in by 1500 miles, new gt525 turbos as well from Z1.

Any offers please PM me.

I do not have the skill, time, money or interest to fix it anymore.

I'm sure it's an easy fix for somebody with all the knowledge and tools.

The engine is 88mm wiseco pistons, acl bearings and full divorced downpipe decat.

I have made it into a stunning car and it gets lots of attention.

Thanks.

seems a shame to sell it cant some one on here help you out and get it fixed look very clean a tidy and after all the money you can spend seems you have come to far to just walk away

Take time out mate have a good think you done shed loads to her just too walk away

Can't you put another engine in? Even if only to sell it as it would make more of your money back for you. Shame to see such a nice car go this way

Anthony im still at work now, and was late yesterday let me listen to it 1st,

Why not call bailey and liddle have a moan they may even remove engine and refit if not I'll help u,

Standard engine in, enjoy a very pristine looking Zed in the decent weather that can't be very far away!

You know it makes sense, man... :)

Anthony u need to find why even the turbos could have problems if driven with no oil pressure,

Check cooler pipes and check for leaks etc...

Let's be honest u don't drive it hard your a big girls blouse lol...so either oil has leaked or something was done wrong,

why is every one writing the engine of it could be fixed a knocking bottom with bit of a other engine

To be honest of I spent all that money I would not put no used engine back in I'd be taking it out and finding out why a newly rebuilt bottom end has failed with 1500miles on it...

bottom end knock mite mite be a bearing get it fixed and keep the car looks to nice to sell for peanuts

But all the bearings have been replaced 1500 miles ago everything new so he needs to know why and I'd be calling the engineering shop asking them what the hell is going on and telling them to expect a bottom end.

And wanting answers.

I think there should be a fund on here like a few pound out the membership say a few pound and also people can donate money over the year and it could be used when some one in the shit and cant afford to get it sorted the mods could sort out who get to use it even if it was few hundred to help the guy out how it would be policed I don't know but there has to be a way just an idea like

I'd pay a few pounds on top lol, I was gonna use the same engineering shop, to build my lump,

But I started a project 2yrs ago and was thinking about power and this and that,

I bought lots of upgrade bits but I have run low on money and can't wait anymore to use my zed,

so I have stuck a stock engine and turbos in for this summer,

this winter i was gonna put big turbos and a forge engine but now im not sure I may just leave it bloody stock with a boost upgrade and chip and a set of turbos maybe gt525 like anthonys,

2years ago I was on a crazy mission now I'd be happy to have a nice reliable zed,

My mate danny cbr on here must have had his zed 10yrs, his had a couple of problems with autoboxes me and him converted it to manual and its been great,

and he doesn't just plods around he uses it,

its standard with a boost upgrade and a chip and its never let him down engine wise in 10 yrs...

I'd be happy with 350bhp if it was reliable for 10yrs,

Im starting to wonder if these forged engines are a good idea there obviously very strong but then the old faster faster bug kicks in, then huge turbos pushing it harder and harder and I doubt they would last 10yrs...

I just googled bottom end knock acl bearings, there seems a lot of people with knocks pretty soon after rebuilds there not zeds but still...

it has to come down to has the engine been built rite to start with lots of people think they can build a engine but they clearly cant am sure I could bolt a load of new parts on a old engine and say its rebuild but am sure it wouldn't be rite has to come down to the tq of each bolt the correct head gasket for the skim the correct rebore for the new pistons then you talking in a thousandth of an inch here and there it would be easy for a so called engine builder to make a **** up if you take all that on bored plus when a guy maps it on top of all that its clear some one can get something wrong along the way very frustrating indeed as thay claimed to be know what there talking about when they didn't I bet there is only a hand full master engine builder about who really know there stuff

Bailey and liddle are very well known engine builders round here and build lots of race engines,

But obviously we can all make mistakes,

I have repaired cars and had faulty parts or made a mistake and done the job twice,

And its scary with lots of money involved,

But this has really made me think what I want from my zed, and I want it to look immaculate, drive/handle well, and be reliable,

I think when I do my engine this winter,

Im gonna build it has stock as possible, maybe gt525, weisco pistons, Nissan bearings and gaskets, and a map and leave it has that,

But then again thats kind of what anthony wanted, forged engine running a bit more power and reliable and this happens....

well sound like some one had fked up no wonder he is pissed. so a bearing on the crack or conrod is cusing the knock. am going for gt600t turbos ported head uprated camshafts ams manifold forged rods and pistons arp bolts 5 bolt dowm pipes decat duel air intake with duel maf uprated cam springs full engine build gasket set and few other bits like so I want it done rite or head will role

full underdrive pulleys to

I sort of just got rid of all that lol,

Gt2560 turbos, same has gt600r kit...

88mm weisco pistons,

eagle rods,

850 denso injectors,

Labree 5bolt downpipes,

I've got lightweight pulleys and flywheel,

was thay your build stuff then ? did you give up

I've not listened to it yet but its sounding like a rod bearing or main bearing,

Im just has annoyed lol, took me about 3 weekends to remove engine then rebuild the top end bolt it all together with new turbos and put it back in the car...

I have a fly wheel lined up with my new clutch what pulleys do you have

I sold it to get money together to pay some debts so I can finish the body and drive my car this year,

I put stock bits in going to worry about engine this winter,

But my shell was stripped bare no engine, looms, dash, interior, subframes, doors, boot, windows removed lol...

Resprayed, everywhere underneath cleaned and stone chipped,

But I run out of money on the engine, hopefully next year it will get a new engine lol...

Just ebay ones think we spoke the other day cause my power steering fitted but the other guys didn't, mine is a 94 electric hicas pump...

But my alternator pulley didn't,

yes we did. shame you sold all your good stuff I would be gutted if I did that.
