Hi

 

Went out in car lunchtime, got caught in big downpour - not sure if a factor but I have lost the indicators on left side only, right still working fine.

 

I have checked and as far as I can see there is only 1 fuse, that is obviously ok as right side working.

 

Has the car got 2 flasher units? or is indicator stalk knackered?

 

Help please as nearly had a car rear end me lunchtime

as far as I know there is only one fuse, however that may not mean the stalk is at fault...

check the bulb holders for wire problems and corrosion...

Hi Just checked hazards, as an after thought and indicators on left work, so guessing stalk issues

The green repeater lights in the top of the instrument panel are doing what (for stalk operation and hazard switch)?

When using stalk nothing left, ok right, when using hazard both ok

I'd have a look at the engagement and dis engagement of the hazard switch as often the mountings are broken, put your left winkers on and hit the hazard switch off and on and see if the indicators come back.

The downpour as you say could just be coincidence.

The hazard switch effectively bridges the stalk switch for L&R indicators, so you symptoms suggest the stalk is malfunctioning or

the local wiring is faulty. You could also check the connector to the stalk.
