After the relative success of the mini meet we had at the beginning of the month, the next event will take place at the Queens Head, 12 Norwich Road, Hethersett, Norwich, Norfolk NR9 3DD.

 

After a quick drink of water and a packet of crisps and a chin wag, we will travel in a sensible convoy, driving toward what is rated as one of the best driving roads in our region the B1113. On our way we will drive through the sleepy town of Wymondham, past the lotus factory and some lovely scenic roads. We will eventually pop out on the A11 near Snetterton where there is a lovely pub and beer garden so we can stock up on some calories. Hopefully there are a few who can attend because we could use the opportunity to discuss the next event; I know Ted has a few ideas up his sleeve and I would welcome any of yours.

 

From there Snetterton is on our doorstep and will make a good backdrop for some pictures (bring your cameras) and a video that I'll put together and make some copies for you. This could be a nice day out for all weather permitting, so if you fancy bringing partners/family, let us know on here if you intend to do so, that way we all know the consensus of the group. Failing that........boys with toys!

 

Any other thoughts/ideas feel free to add.

Too many working weekends mate, you gonna have to take a break,lol. I know what its like matey, I used to work in the same business and for some reason changed to one where weekends are also few and far between. Maybe next time mate.

A bit of bad luck I think. Although compared to a Monday to Friday job, I agree, too many working weekends :(

I work a 4on 4off shift so I have a fair amount of time off (half the year before I've even taken paid leave lol) but as it trundles in and out of weekends, it can be a pain!

Hi osty, just wanted to say, it looks like youre doing a great job sorting out meets mate, well done! As I said in another thread, my car is still alive, just, but suffering from rather large holes where the sills once lived. :( Bearing in mind the Z is a luxury I cant really afford, it has taken me up until now to be halfway through building a shed to restore the car properly. Another few weeks, shed should be finished and the restoration thread will begin. I get my Z fix by reading every post on the forum, so I am still about, although not in the car.

Good to hear mate, go for it! Too many Zeds get scrapped when the 'going gets tough'!

 

Thanks for the comments on the meets, I'd be doing loads more if I didn't work I Anglesey so the same as you mate, I will be back!

 

If you need anything mate give me a shout, 2 heads are better than 1, I think lol.

13 members have posted in the EA members thread but there are more about......somewhere?? Not the busiest region guys but we can still get together in small numbers.

Ill be there. itll be nice to see as many zeds as we can get there. then monday morning im of to nottingham to drop car of at Marks Automodz to get the NA rear end on and other stuff.looking forward to this meet... how many deff comming.

Plus my Z now sounds like someone has poured a bucket of bolts into the engine when you start her sometimes...... I thought I had thrown a rod or something, then disappeared and smooth and quiet..... then starts again later.....

Need to get her on ramps again and see what I have done wrong yet again.....lol
