April 26, 201411 yr Hi Guys, not that i'm thinking of doing it, (yet), but how difficult/easy is it to transplant a N/A engine from one zed to another, any special tools needed etc.. i assume you will need a engine hoist as a must... Cheers Rich
April 26, 201411 yr Not too bad, a bit less than doing a TT obviously with less stuff. Not so much special tools but well armed, 4 spanners and 1/4 drive ratchet ain't gonna cut it. Halfords do a set for £130 I think, which is pretty complete for most things. Obviously an engine crane, axel stands, jacks etc. You have a lot more space, but stuff like the loom being fragile and rusty bolts are all part and parcel if it.
