Hi guys,i have just tested cylinder 1 injector connector several times with noid light and no power is goin to noid light. What do you guys recon is wrong.I was getting a error code 11(CAS).Is it possible that the CAS sends a siginal to 2 to 6 injector connectors and not 1?As cylinders 2 to 6 are working perfectly.Any help would be great. Thanks guys

It would be much easier to keep everything in one thread - seems you're having a chain of ongoing problems & not everyone will have seen your other threads... thought you had code 21 last night? Have you tried another PTU? Didn't you mention on another thread that you'd turned the CAS and each injector clicked?

I'd suggest, detailing exactly what happened in what order on one thread - much easier to help that way.

Good luck with it - I know how frustrating it gets!!

Hi mate yea i should have kept everything in one thread, yes i had code 21 last night, cleared the ecu and now im not getting 21.No i havent got another PTU.The one that is in my car is the series 1 should.Yea i mentioned turning the CAS and each injector clicked,But to be honest it is very hard to know as they can allude u.

The PTU does not fire injectors, that does the coils. Check whether you get a voltage back at the ECU connector for the appropriate injector. (and at the same time compare that with a known working one)

check the noid light first on another injector ptu, once proven check the offending injector has 12v, assuming it does it means your not getting a trigger earth from the ecu.

This will be caused by either a faulty cable, the ecu connector not sitting correctly or the ecu output is blown. Identify the injector output at the ecu and see if the noid light will work there this will prove the cable and or the ecu, my guess would be the ecu.

Thanks guys for the info,so i checked the noid light on cylinder 3 and it is getting a light pulse, also the offending cylinder id gettng 12v but no pulse.Jeff can you tell me how do i check injector 1 with the noid light at the ECU,as there is only 1 connection(isnt there). And would i be right in saying that 101 on this diagram is the one to test. Thanks

So if i plug in the noid light into 101 and 109,What the ignition on Jeff? Thanks

Ok cylinder 1 earth trigger to the injector is no101 at the ecu and is a white cable, now all you need is any live supply so live supply to one side of the noid light and the other to 101 and start the engine, flashing will prove the ecu and a cable fault from there to the injector, no flash and means the output from the ecu is toast.

Ok so jeff i used the noid light 101 and 109, and the noid light stayed on constent, when i pluged it in then i turned over the car and the noid light didnt blink,i also tryed 110 and 109 and i got the same result as on cylinder 1

So finally think it must be the ECU,so i made a little hole in the wires 101 and 109 and tested it with a noid light,no pulse. then to make sure i made a small hole in 103(injector 3) and used 109 as power and i got a pulse.Must be the circuit is broken for the injector 1 pulse.

And cover up the little holes you made with some insulation tape because knowing these cars they'll say whoppee bare wires ... lets cause a short circuit !
