one one know what this is ?

does anyone know what this is and what does on on the breather line a pipe comes from the fuel tank then to this then the pipe after this goes to the carbon canister is it a valve of some kind I noted I could suck air down the pipe but when I blow it was a lot harded is it some kind of to way valve ?

yea 1 way valve just does the same job as the 1 way valve on the brake and clutch servo,s....allows vacume to suck but wont allow boosted air back through. I think..LOL. Ive got my Mitsubishi Delica engine in bits on the bench and for a short while my Zed train of thoughts have been put on the back burner:lol::lol:

yes your on the rite track here bri but the valve works both way as the fuel goes down it lets air in the tank that's the suck if you blow down it at first you cant but if you keep blowing the pressure builds up and the air gets throw I take it if the pressure in the tanks gets to much it lets the gas past it
