Stop it! I've had enough of car computers, I am now loving the simplicity of a normal headunit after nearly 7 years of endless possibility and bespoke installation with my car PC.

Although, Ferrari, Mercedes and Volvo are signed up to iOS in car (CarPlay) systems and many big name manufacturers are have signed up as committed partners! This interests me and I'm hopeful that apple will soon develop a stand alone universal double din headunit with the same technology.

In fact here this list:

Manufacturers with CarPlay in their 2014 cars:

Ferrari

Honda

Hyundai

Mercedes-Benz

Volvo

These manufacturers are referred to by Apple as "commited partners" and are expected to introduce CarPlay at a later date:

BMW

Chevrolet

Ford

Jaguar

KIA

Land Rover

Mitsubishi Motors

Nissan

Opel

PSA Peugeot Citroën

Subaru

Suzuki

Toyota

Admittedly, as per the title of your thread, the only real relevance of most posts relate the carputer as the 'at a sensible price' part has just gone out the window with an apple product!

I'll stop wibbling!
