Who has fitted 4 point harnesses?

Hi has anyone fitted 4 point harnesses at all?

I have 3 point installed at the moment but to install a 4 point it looks like I need to install or have made an harness bar?

You can buy a universal kit for this but I wondering what anyone else did?

Cheers Dan

You want a half cage, a harness bar without the roll-over hoop is dangerous

I've bought 4 points now thanks anyway.

Where can i buy a half cage in the UK. Rhd Japan sell them but don't want the extra cost of import tax and shipping.

Cheers Dan

how much did this set you back zed racer?

Think it was about £750 - £800 (back in 2009). That included driver and passenger seat mounts and 6 point harness mounts, collection and delivery (they are quite close to me).

Fantastic job to be honest and all MSA certified.

Thanks buddy, have seen a few jobs by them and they are good for the money.

I used to connect my harness to the rear strut brace. Yes a few people thought that it wasn't strong enough but I was happy with it, as were scrutineers at most of the tracks in the UK and as were the MOT guys :)

Having said that a roll cage will bring other benefits and Custom Cages are pretty good :)
