Pure Genius?

Don't even MENTION the name Commet, or Curry's, or Dixons to me!!!!

Last week my TV went pop and so I was in the market for a new one. I decided to get a new video and DVD as well, with a budget of around £2k. Do you think I could find any fcuker in ANY of the above named shops to help or even serve me? NOT A BLOODY CHANCE!!!

I ended up walking out of five shops after being left standing around by bum picking c*nt brains (I even went during the week to avoid having to deal with the school rejects they employ on Saturdays and Sundays)

Finally I lost my rag in yet another Currys and virtually dragged one of the staff from behind a till to get any service.

....and as for the free delivery and install? What a joke! Two 18 year olds turned up at my house yesterday in a Transit Luton, flapped about trying to get the kit upstairs, DROPPED it when they got there, then told me that they only deliver, I would have to set it up myself. Not difficult for anyone with more than a single brain cell, but now I'm left with an old nackered telly and a load of boxes that are almost as big as the interior of my home.

BASTARDS!!!!!

x-biker, be careful mate. You don't want people who've had good experiences with Comet flaming you! ;)

you really have to say they are worse than SE lol.

I have long since learnt the only use these place are, to see what the goods look like in the flesh lol.

If you want to buy something from them, then serioulsy read up about said product first, Advice from these people is like getting water out of a stone? lol

In the METRO paper today they have done a review on customer service and advise you get from these very shops. Net result was they all blow cheese.

What I do is decide what I want, then go to somewhere that cares, like Richer Sounds for example. Don't think they do TV's though ...

I shall share a site with you, which I showed DaveW last week.

http://www.pricerunner.co.uk

Type in the TV you want or use the search found under the TV section and it will show a list of the places who are selling it and which is the cheapest. DaveW was looking at a Video Recorder at the time and the site showed him where he could make a saving of over £100 on the one he wanted. I think it was a lot more than that too.

I thought that Scan was the cheapest place round here for computer bits but using http://www.pricerunner.co.uk I found a place that sold GeForce 4 Ti4600 graphics card for £50 cheaper.

Stuart.

neone here used to work at Currys or Dixons or Comet ??

:D :D

Thanks for the tip! You guy's seem to know everything! Hopefully won't need another TV for another 10 years or so, but before I buy anything else I'll remember to ask here first!
