Hi guys,5 years ago i got new splitfire spark plugs filled on my 300zx tt,i did less than 1,000 miles on the spark plugs. The car has been sitting for over 4 years and i removed the plugs today and seen some carbon on a few of them. When removing them today i noticed 3 of the 6 plugs werent even tight not even hand tight.I was just wondering should i change them?and if so i was looking at these

Mine has had 2 sets of coppers BCR8ES I think, it's what Noz recommends and they seem great to me. But this discussion has gone round and round.

Don't think you can go wrong with coppers like, mine has 430 at the engine and 16psi, has had for about 20'000 miles.

No to Denso, for normal road going zed you cannot beat the original NGK Platinum PFR6B-11C.

This has always been my view also! I know we now have iridium upgrades available - but if you do go that way, stick with NGK...... I too have not heard great things about Denso plugs in a 300zx!

Coppers are fine too, I hear - but do bear in mind that they will need replacing at much shorter intervals; maybe 6k miles/12 months whichever is sooner?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

 it gets a lot of oil changes though

Bugger. At least I changed all 6, funny how the rear 2 coil pack connectors were in far better nick than the other 4... That isn't a dig at anyone just an observation, dodgy little non zed experienced garages.
