I've been running boost jets for the last 10 years without problems but have finally decided to go upmarket and fit a boost controller.

Being the tight arse that I am I've just won a Greddy Profec B II on EBay for silly money. (Control unit only, no other bits yet). :)

I'm having a bit of a dilemma on where to put it. I know the neatest place seems to be where the clock is but my clock still works and I quite like it there. Was thinking of maybe in the glovebox or even in the storage tray under armrest. Having never used a boost controller before I'm not sure how practical it will be having it out of sight/reach.

Where do peeps have theirs. All ideas & advice appreciated.

Nick

Cubby hole under head unit?

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

mines stuck to the side of the centre trim. next to my left knee diggs in sometimes. must say i actually prefer it there and oddly enough my swb in the states had a car phone in it and it was in the exact same place but on the other side, i guess ill have even rub rashes now lol

depends on your usage and weather you want to hidden it or have it visible, i prefer to have my clock like you so ive not bothered moving it, id say put it under the arm rest, a bit of modification and have it facing upwards if possible.

I'm not bothered about having it visible but not sure about usage and how often and how quickly I'd need to access controls. Never been a problem with boost jets.

for me i use it enough for me to leave it where its at and its quick access. get it installed and leave it under the arm rest temporary and see how you get on with using it, you'll know if you want it in tucked away in the glove or within reach but leave plenty of slack so when it does come time to permanently fit it you have room to play with

I laser cut a bit of MDF and sprayed it with plastidip to mount mine in the cubby hole. I hate any wobble or creaking from that sort of thing so I made sure it was solidly mounted..

Still not finished the interior, but this gives you an idea..

That looks pretty neat! But no good for me with my double din stereo.

Definitely the clock hole

Yeh I am starting to sway that way but I might try what Princeking suggested and trial fit it out of sight to start with and see how it goes.

Yeah, sorry I didn;t read the double din bit until after I'd posted... :whistling:

No problem. It's always nice to see top quality installs. :)

Cheers mate, I wouldn't go that far but it does look neater than just being stuck on. Looking at now, I'm thinking I might re-do it but use black acrylic instead...
