Hi all,

Just a quick announcement to say that we are switching over to the new Classifieds system as from now.

The new system if you haven't noticed can be located from the top toolbar under "Classifieds".

As with the previous thread based system only fully subscribed members and traders can actually sell from the system.

The new system features - Buy Now, Auctions & Wanted.

Every subscribed member is also allocated 1 Featured item which will show below every forum in a rotating banner.

When a new item is listed on the classified system a new "Listing and Comments" thread is automatically created so

that your particular item can be discussed fully with other members.

We understand new systems may have teasing issues so please report any issues or difficulties to me and I'll do my

best to try and fix or guide you through it all.

On behalf of the committee we hope you enjoy the new system.

Regards

Lee

Additional :

If any users using the new please upload images to our local system and there's a weird issue

with hosted images not showing properly for thumbnails and your listing may not get as much

notice on the main page as it should deserve !

Also after submission of an auction you may not be able to edit it so please contact a mod or

myself to update your post while this issue is resolved.

Thanks and Happy Selling

Also hate new system and cannot understand reasons for it- confusing and unclear. Step backward.

Mixed up just looks a mess but I suppose it saves mods moving about threads started in the wrong section.

Its all new and will take time to get used to then you will love it.

What was wrong with having Cars for Sale, Items for Sale and Wanted seperately Gary?

its all new and IMO is a retrograde step.

I will never love it cos it hides the classifieds away in a separate section.

You only have to look how it doesnt work on Z club.net . It is so bad on there I paid for my own traders section to advertize on.

It has its good points and bad but one good point is we have more information on the buyer and seller which we can use when a sale goes wrong. We will give it a chance to prove itself and see what members think. At the end of the day we just want what is good for the members and club so lets see how things pan out. Plus thanks for the feedback as we need all good and bad feedback so we can make changes for the good of all.

After having members go walkies without providing parts or refunds, we feel that to gain more seller/buyer info this is the way to go.

The old system relies heavily on trust and why not, we are all here for the same aim, but there are a select few who have abused it and a new system was called for by the members.

Similar to when we switched over to the new forum, there were alot of people who didnt like it, but now its second nature and we have all got used to it, hopefully the same will happen with the classified section.

My gripe is certainly not with more seller info and doing something about it since I am one of those that lost heavily through non- receipt of paid for goods as you may remember. It is rather the throwing of all categories into one area instead of the old, separate, clear categories. It did not need this combined column to ask for more detail on submission of a listing.

Regards

Dave
