Hi Guys, have a little problem, my zed is finally back together but i still have the problem of the gearbox not getting past 2nd. Some of the finger pointing has been at the Gearbox ECU. The Car is a NA Auto, the box got swapped with a TT box, ( lectures later) So what i'm after is a Zed owner nearby who wouldn't mind "lending" me his ECU whilst i take it up the road for a test. I suppose na or TT prob wouldn't matter just to prove a point. Now i live just south of cambridge, in a village called Meldreth, so i'll let you make the decision whether to come or not.

Many Thanks

Rich

the same as you are getting.. won't go past second..

Auto trans – Footwell - Ignition – 3rd row 5th from left – 10A (make sure there is one in there)

My zed is off the road at the mo so can't come over with it. Can offer to plug it into scantech to see if it is throwing up a code

Med Man, sorry Eng Cont fuse is okay. Looks more and more likely the ECU, unless i'm unlucky enough to have TWO gearboxes fail in a row, mind you, that wouldn't be unusual for me, my X5 gear box lost its D capability (only used tripttonic) and its replacement (my current car) a BMW 330 ic conv has lost reverse. I guess i'm just lucky.

Hi, well as much as I agree that it could be possible, its unlikely and so I'd still be looking for the cheapest solution fist and up form there...

So I guess you've cheeked the wiring diagram and all the connections to ecu (sometimes the pins push out), box, fuse and I thin there is something on the ignition barrel as well...

you might be able to borrow an ecu to test...
