35 mins to cover 29 miles across central London on a FRIDAY

Ok this is an old vid now but always a good watch, pity its poor quality to today`s standard but you can almost taste the tension, and as a previous owner in the day of a SD1 3500se I can tell you the brakes were crap! you cannot doubt the police drivers commitment to delivering this donor organ to save another persons life though, that cop certainly earned his wages that day!

Nice video Jeff.

I know our boys in blue come in for some stick, but it is in events like this that really show their ability and camaraderie.

I thought the cooperation of the general commuters was fantastic also.

These days you'd never get there, how often do we see people that don't notice or cba to make adequate room for emergency services vehicle.

Yup - agreed....

...And seriousness aside, that would have been quite fun to have done....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I'll probably get flack for this but I wonder:

What is the increased risk of a police vehicle driving throughout the city like that of hitting a pedestrian? It would take just one bad accident and the entire donor mission was, well, effectively pointless.

If the police car did hit a pedestrian should it stop to help or should it continue on to the donor?

Food for thought.
