Check light

Hi all, with regards to my earlier post about sudden rough running I done a ecu code check to see if there was any faults I noticed the dial on the ecu was pretty much all the way to the right so I corrected that and carried on with the code check it came back 55 all clear, can someone tell me if the check light should be coming on while ignition is on then goes off once engine started? Cos ive never seen this light before and I can only imagine that whoever messed with it didnt return the dial to the middle
