Looks like the Gallardo...with some Ascari undertones. Wasn't too much they could do to make the Gallardo look any better imo. I am really liking Lamborgini's recent cars. I had chance to have a really good look over an Aventador at Supercar Sunday in Los Angeles earlier in the year and the car looked amazing from EVERY single angle. More than can be said for the current crop from Ferrari which have strange angles and shapes and never look quite right. The Gallardo is still the prettiest supercars from the modern era IMO.

I used to be a big Ferrari fan in the 90s. I favour the styling of modern Lamborghinis now in every single way.

Hmmm Lamborghini huracan doesn't sound right perfered the other rumoured name the Cabrera

A few nice supercars about and just seen below that write up on the Lambo there is a new Porsche 928 which looks great. Front engine V8 turbo so space in the rear for luggage. But still love the old 90's 928.

So did I Gaz - and I certainly love the "new" one..... Traditional Porsche front end, with a touch of Aston Vantage at the profile and rear. I'd certainly have one of those over a 911.....

Ive done 170+ in the aventador such and amazing machine, the sound and grip was out of this world

Something I have realised with new fast cars, a lot of their performance comes from dsg style gearboxes. I watched a Chris Harris on cars I think it was the new 4 series bmw. It had no more than 400bhp, it was less than my car, but had a 0-100mph of about 10 seconds. Thats because it has a 7 speed instant auto box. If I am in 4th at 100mph thats 3 gear changes at least a second on each one.

I feel a bit cheated, my dads 2.0l diesel passat estate is pretty quick because it has a supernatural gearbox that keeps it at it's 140bhp all the time you have your foot down.

Couple that to a proper performance car and the rate you will go down the road will be disorientating, but is it better???

Yup - thing is, auto-boxes have come a long way in recent years. And with modern traffic conditions (and I'm not just saying that because I'm getting old:lol:), but an auto-box really is the way to go with cars today. BMW, Merc and VAG all make such good auto boxes, that in general, the autos are faster than their equivalent manual counterparts. And with their manual "mode" coupled with the paddle-shifters occasionally fitted, at least you can have a "manual" involvement if you want. Although having used it a few times on the SLK, I have to say, the car can do it way faster than me..... Its 305 horses can pull it from 0-100 in 12.2 just by stamping on the loud pedal - that's over 2 seconds quicker than a stock ZX TT manual...

You are exactly right Richard, I just get worried at the lights when a 2.5l volvo automatic keeps his foot down and I change up sympathetically and he ends up telling the lads in the pub how he burned off some sort of ferrari looking thing lol
