The "G reg last of old shape" comment makes me think it could well be a Z31 (it also says "Turbo" not "Twin Turbo", but that's less than conclusive)..

"Porsche 944 Shape" - i.e. Pop-up lights.

"tape player" - no cd - i thought all uk Z32's came with CD as standard.

Seems a strange debate, this one, given that Mr Nukem does actually say "this old model 300zx" - was always gonna be a Z31.

Oh well, it is Friday, I suppose!!!:D

And Thank God for that!

Yeah, only because he edited his post :)

'Nuff said!

Now, where did I put that humble pie??????:p

CheerZ,

John.

Actually at £2200 that's a bit expensive for a Z31 I reckon.. Unless it really is a minter.. Most of them that I've seen running around are just three tonne lumps of rust..

Otherwise I'd get one as a second car, just for the digital dash (assuming UK ones came fitted with them..) :D

I always wanted an Astra GSI for the digital dash.. God I am sad..

Now we're talking Z31s, (something I don't know that much about actually), I don't think the UK ones did come with a digi-dash. I'm pretty sure they had your good 'ol dials. I suppose it may have been available as an option. As far as I'm aware, in the US & JP, they were available on certain models of the 280zx too, although proved not too popular!!

I know it's personal preference, but what on earth do you like about digi dashs?? I think they're awful - remind me of the Maestro Vandem-Plas that my dad had in 1983:eek:   - and that can't be a good thing ....

"Warning - Low Fuel" it used to drone ...

I know, I can see the feckin gauge!!!!!!!:D

Still - each to their own.

CheerZ,

John.

The US versions came with a digital dash. I do not think that they were available in the UK. Anyway I think That they always went wrong.

Great cars though. I had three of the later ones. They had cured most of the rust problems when they got to the facelift version. They are a good entry point into Zs as they are cheap to maintain, buy and insure (on a classic policy)

if you want a digi dash get a carlton 3litre GSI thats got one and its the dogs and it was also one of the best cars ive ever owned
