two different ways... if it's a UK car there is a code that tells the year.. (UK cars have rear fog lights in the bumper... mostly)

I think this applies to UK cars as well http://z32.wikispaces.com/VIN+Decoding (but since mine is a JDM I'm not 100%.. lol)

and this might also help http://www.300zx.org.uk/import_dating.htm although some of these components can be changed..

if it's a JDM you need to check against the list with the Chassis number.. (JDM have rear side lights and usual an external fog light.. i.e.e not in the bumper... again mostly)

Anyone know how to identify the exact year of a zed from the vin no?

Thanks

Hi Chris, sorry but I've edited some of your post as registered users are not allowed to sell on the forum. I appreicaite that you were just asking how much it was worth, however this is often seen as a back door to advertising cars for sale. Your best bet for a valuation is checking out the prices of similar age and condition cars on Pistonheads or Autotrader.
