no turbos?

On my way to work this morning in the zed (as I do every morning), once up to temp I gave it a bit of right foot only to be greeted with..... Nothing!?

Tried again when I had a bit of empty road and again nothing, so (not as quickly as usual) made my way to work.

On the way home this evening, again got the car up to temp and gave it some beans again and still nothing.

Decided to pull over, stuck in in park and gave it a rev just in the hope I could hear anything but still nothing.

Thought sod it, I'll get home and have a look over the weekend before I fit my hicas eliminator, pulled away and (as it says in the cilit bang ad) turbo power!?

What could be the cause of the turbos not cutting in and suddenly working again?

hmm, I would have said a big air leak, so they don't spool. But if it came back, then maybe a turbo had seized, then finally free'd up again. Be interesting to know if starts happening on a regular basis

You won't build boost in neutral anyway. It's worth un bolting the front hard pipe, you know the one behind the accordion pipes, bolts onto the turbo face. This will allow access to the front compressor wheel, this should turn smooth as glass and extremely light. If it's tight or notchy...well yeah.

I am hoping and preying that your all wrong as with everything else recently I am completely broke :(

A seized turbo is the last thing I need!

partially seized turbo id say.It quite common for them to start and stop like that.

How would I know which turbo it would be that's causing the trouble ( if not both)?

Sounds like the nearside tubs a big seazy me thinks and also hopes not and i hope im wrong.

What makes you say its the nearside mate?

because im sure there the ones that nearly always give up first and prob good job to cause there the only one your ment to able to get off without taken the engine out. check it not seized.

Everyone says that yet I can touch each every bolt on the passenger side. Mine with all my deletes would be out in about an hour I recon. Drivers side is the tighter side close to the block steering is in the way, I honestly can't see how it's the easier one.
