right I have just deleted some games off my ps3 so I have more memory so install another

It's not physical matter mate, so it can be removed from the universe without upsetting any laws...lol

 

Normally the file name is changed and the file is removed from the file table (a database the computer uses to tell where each file is on the card plus other details) once gone from the file table the computer can no longer see the file so it's effectively gone and will eventually be written over with new files..

but it is data/information so it still is a something. nothing on the planet just disappears as its turned in to an energy etc :wacko:

It's only physical matter that cannot be completely destroyed mate, it's turned into something else. Data on a disk is just ones and zeros, so from the data point of view it can be completely removed, by simply overwriting it.
