You mean Tail/Stop lights I guess.

Yes you can. Search eBay for "Tail/Stop LED". Just be sure to get the same style bayonet fitting as the Zed.

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

like Lexx says...

you can also get them with built in resistors so the "bulb out" light doesn't come up on the dash/

the alternative is wiring resistors into the circuit, or modding the bulb out sensor unit or just pulling the warning bulb on the dash.

but the CANBUS are the most elegant and quick solution (although not the cheapest, although it looks like the prices have come down)..

let ebay be your friend..

break bulbs are 380 (1157, BAY15D) you need 4

indicator are 382 (1156, BA11S) you need 2 (4 if you do the fronts as well)

and the side lights are 501

supper cheap from China but you take the chance they are crap..

so me being thick are the 1157 the brake light bulbs cas they dont seem to be . but thats me being tic .so if i put them in there then will the side light come on and then the brake light

The first link MM as put up do look like they could be the ones, whether they do what they say on the tin is another matter, they come in red also.

I liaised with another member and it was decided to buy some of these, so until they arrive on his doorstep we will not know further.

As stated, I do have some of the red bulbs ( 221292357078 ) on the way to me, they should be here in a week or 2 so will keep you updated. Obviously you may not need red ones, I do as I have clear lenses on my brake chambers.

Hopefully they will do what they are said to do, although I did buy 6 rather than 4 just to cover my back incase 1 or 2 get damaged on their long journey.

I think these dual contact smd bulbs bought above will work as I found some old bulbs today I bought a while ago and forgot I had them.

50% of the smd's lit up amber or yellow quite dimly so that's the 5w tail light part and then when I powered up the other contact they lit up the other 50% much brighter in white, so that's the 21w brake part, colours are wrong I know as we need red and red but the principal is the same so that's why I'm very hopeful of them working when they land on peoples doorsteps .

Try them out !!! Get in your garage and touch negative on the base and then touch 12v onto each of the contacts and get back to us.

I'll post panel 100% Monday and so myHermes will be with you on Weds, send yours back Dave in same box :thumbup1:.

I will give them a try and take pics but at the moment the weather is a bit shit and I don't actually have a garage (that's right everyone! I drive my zed in all weathers and leave it out on the driveway every night, Exactly as cars are meant to be treated  )

Started fitting my new reverse light panel and smd brake bulbs today, along with a few other jobs. Got the panel fitted and wired up (looks amazing), fitted the smd bulbs and...... They are no good for the brake bulbs!!!

They light up nicely but do nothing once the brake pedal in pressed.
