Just got a call of a mate of mine who has his own scrapyard said someone drove a zed in there to scrap,anyone we know?going have a look in a bit,scrapyards in Birkenhead.

Can the drivers seat be repaired?

Don't think they have been re-covered that long to be honest, coming up really well with no signs of anyone having actually sat on them, the sponge base and backs are very firm indeed.

 

You can see the damage caused to the drivers seat with the weight of a car being put on top of it, actually bent the seat frame, but have got a frame off Lee Dent that I can swap the leather onto, and I am going to ask the great Mondo how much it would cost to replace just that one ripped piece of leather panel on the seat as it's not that big a panel. I will send it to him once off the seat.

Well Paul the guy who works there told me that someone wanted the engine and I think box,and was to collect it last week,So if it's still there I guess he never came back for it,so I will speak to Paul tomoz see if he has herd anything,if not I'm sure he will sell it you:-),myself was after all the front running gear (if it's any good)? I have a vibration at the front and not sure what it is,so was going to swop a few things over to try and eliminate the problem.

Thanks Gary, it's all looking that good now....lol. Shame there is damage to the drivers seat because I would have got it all fitted, but will have to wait until I can get the spare seat frame, then send the leather that needs repairing to Mondo for him to work his magic on it. But it should look very nice when all finished I will have a very nice red and black interior, my Zed is going to look amazing after Keith and Lee have finished their magic too.

Check that your front alloys have the plastic spigot rings between the hub and wheel, otherwise the likely cause of the vibration
