Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this one. I read an article in Jap Cars magazine and it states you can adjust the stiffness of the dampers using the handbrake!...Is this correct?...If so how do you do it.?

Many thanks.

Chris,

Uk models you can lift the handbrake up one notch and it stiffens the rear dampers up from soft to hard settings. Doesnt work if u have an import as they only have one setting, hard.

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

Cheers Ill give that a try....Bloody Hell...this site is quicker than Nissan UK at a response!..lol

I dont know weather you read my posting last week about rear dampers....It seems I can only source OE from Nissan UK themselves at £100 each!.

I have a lot of work to carry out on this car...as I have only just bought it....I paid £1500 for it cos a mate was emigrating. Bargain I hear you shout. Gearbox is whining a bit...so that will be next on the list. Know of any good reconditioners?

Chris

For all parts Zed - http://www.courtesyparts.com ;) Even after shipping, duty and VAT they are STILL cheaper than Nissan UK - thats this country for you init lol

The other option would be to upgrade the dampers - I sorted a group buy not long ago on some Koni adjustable shocks - I can't remember the exact price but they didn't cost much more (if not less) than OEM units - plus they TRANSFORM the handling of the car ;)
