Right, got finally got The Dutchess in the garage for the winter ready for her full suspension upgrade & rebuild, subframe & diff replacement.

So...... not fazed by the suspension rebuild, however, i'm kinda dreading dropping the subframe & diff & replacing the pair of them. Was going top get Jeff to do it but as I've spent so much on upgraded parts funds are running low......

Can anyone who has changed the subframe & diif before tell me what i'm looking at time wise & the difficulties I may encounter?

yep as mikey says really easy job ..

u may need a long'ish cracker bar for the Main bolts but thats about it

Rear Section of the exhaust needs to come off

Rear section of the Prop

Release the hand brake cable from the balancer

unbolt the cable from center tunnel

undo the small mount brackets 6 bolts in total

undo the bolt mount from the lower part of the shocks

4 Main sub frame bolts ..

use a Jack to lower the frame down on to the floor ..

kinda done

Hicas pipes between tank and frame ( if you still have it fitted )

Rear calipers fixing bolts & hang them up from the Shocks

use a Jack to lower the frame down on to the floor ..

Welded diff???? You going drifting? Hope it's not a daily driver as that will be a right pain to live with lol

Lol :-D Yes mate, she was daily drive for 5 yrs, then summer toy for 2. Since the accident & now the fact she needs a full respray & am doing full suspension rebuild I fancy a change & playing on the track until ive saved enough pennies for the damage repair & respray....

Ideally dont want to weld it but dont know anyone that has shimmed a diff before, do you?
