I loved my marina although I wouldn't have another!! He had done 230k and his bodywork was still immaculate. Unfortunately underneath was a different matter and one day my dad borrowed him and collapsed the suspension and that was the end of poor Morris

Thats not a list thats a dealership.

This question has come up a few times - and is always of interest - but to save me typing the whole lot once again, I found my reply from back in 2008 and have revised it with the cars I have owned since then......

Way back in 1987 at the tender age of 17:

1976 Mk1 Cavalier 1.6GL saloon

1978 version of the above

1977 Mk1 Cavalier 1.9GLS sports hatch

Then in 1988:

1979 Opel Manta Berlinetta - twin Webbers, Janspeed etc. Excellent car!

1984 Cavalier Mk2 1.8 SRi

1986 Cavalier Mk2 1.8 SRi

Another year later:

1988 Astra 2.0 GTE 8v (fook knows how I afforded it at the time)

1988 Mk3 cavalier 2.0 CDi

1961 Rover 100 P4 (classic car - was my dad's, he gave it to me when he stopped driving)

Then from the 1990s onwards:

1989 Mk3 Cavalier 2.0 CDi auto

1991 Mk3 Cav 2.0 CDi auto

1992 Ford Scorpio 2.0 saloon (crappiest car ever. 6 months old and back to Ford every week)

1992 Mk3 Cav 2.0 CDi manwell

1994 Toyota Carina E GTi 2.0 173 bhp. Fast, under-rated saloon car

1974 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 - kept it as a classic car for 5 years until it broke

1991 Toyota Supra Mk3 turbo auto

1992 Mk3 Supra turbo 3.0 targa GT (Import special edition - it was KITT!)

1991 300zx turbo auto UK spec (my first 300zx)

1999 Toyota Rav-4 2.0 GX 3-door

1999 Mercedes SLK 230 kompressor auto

2002 Toyota Rav-4 2.0 NRG

2006 Mercedes SLK 350 auto with paddle shift

Then since 2008......

1994 300zx twin turbo auto UK spec (my current blue ZX; owned since August 2009 - and probably the best of my lot!!)

2006 Toyota Rav-4 2.0 XTR 3 door (Bought in August 2010 - Julia mainly uses it; quite fun!)

2009 Mercedes SLK 350 tip auto with AMG Sport upgrade package (current daily driver for last 3 years - superb car; I love it!!)

Hi Acraig,

It was a Vrs, combined with a great deal of time at Jabbasport, near Peterborough. On a stock turbo with big FMIC, custom remap, green injectors, downpipes, zorst etc. It still was a perfectly street-able car though. Much above 330BHP and they get a bit tricky to live with, day to day.

Nick.
