not driven my baby for couple of weeks ,came out today battery totally flat no dash board lights nowt

put my 10 amp charger on went right over to max still there 3 hours on still there

my thoughts are if the battery seems not to accept a charge its knackered rather than a drain on the system ??

last time i was under the bonnet i changed the coil pack brackets would i have disturbed a connector down the back ??

any ideas welcome

Is it sealed battery?

If not might be low on fluid..... Distilled water top up?

Try charging again if this is the case.....

If not and it is either sealed of doesn't need topping up...... either the charger isn't charging properly or the battery is duff.....

most battery suppliers will have a drop tester..... this will show the amps.... they should remove the caps to check if each cell in the battery bubbles..... if it does then it's knackered....

Eurocarparts were doing a few deals recently.... about 25% off I think.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

How old is the battery? is it the calcium type? is so normal chargers will not work correctly and will need one of those new generation conditioning chargers, also most domestic battery charger outputs and gauges are.... optimistic at best and down right liars at worse, I have charged many batteries on our heavy duty workshop unit successfully that zed owners were convinced were duff due to there own charger not doing the business, having said that allowing batteries to go fully discharged is best avoided, you could see if a garage local to you would charge it on their unit for a small fee.

Jump start the car and run it for twenty minutes then it should accept a charge.
