Haven't got the previous page Clarkey but do you have a specific problem in mind ?

Broadly white is water, blue (which is more like off white) is oil and black is rich.

kinda long one.

I start the car and im getting loads of grey smoke from the drivers exhaust but hardly anything from the other one. Anyway i leave it idling for bout 10 mins, its evened out a bit over the 2 zorsts but still a lot of smoke. I rev it up a bit, lots of smoke coming out now from both zorsts, leave it for a couple more mins, still smoking but a little less and not all from the drivers side now. I now really give it some and bounce it off the limiter a couple of times and there so much smoke its rediculous, after that theres nothing..... I turn her off, back on in 10 mins and still nothing, not even pedal-to-metal . Whats that mean?

Sounds like the dreaded seals to me.

What oil are you using and when did you last change it?

What happens if you leave it on idle for 10 from cold with no A/C on and without blipping the throttle?

using 10w40 oil (changed bout 300 miles ago), if you leave it for 10 mins just idling it would still be smoking.

I thought it would be seals, but the smoke isnt blue and it doesnt smell of burnt oil at all.

Clarkey, when you say grey, is it light grey or dark grey ? Smoke is a very light colour. If it's dark then it's fuel.

To be honest, what you describe sounds similar to rear seals but not exactly the same. It's an odd one.

Oh, and bouncing off the limiter probably isn't a great idea !

Clarkey,

Does the smoke clear after a run down the road, i.e when the engines been run above tick-over for a while?

TT tim, yeah it does go away after a drive.

Hairsy, shhhhhhhh :p it loves it ;)

One point to remember is the relative humidity has increased dramatically over the last week or so. This means any vapour in the exhaust will be far more prominent because less steam from the exhaust can be 'absorbed' by the air so more is seen as steam ;) This could WELL be what you are seeing - wait for a nice dry day and try it again ;)

One thing to remember with the twin turbo models is that there is a mod you can do to the oil breathers on the turbos this stops the smoke problem sometimes
